Scripts Installations Fail un V. 3.1235/1236

Post by Dan415 »

Using Windows Vista 32-bit, Script installations fail.

See
and,
and, possibly others.

Starting MM as "Run as Administrator" and double-clicking *.mmip, results in second copy of MM starting and window stating that installation failed.

Setting "Allow just one instance of MediaMonkey" has no effect.

Selecting "File" -> "Open URL or File" and browsing to the .mmip does not work either; nor does attempting to drag-drop the mmip to MM; nor do variations of UAC On/Off.

Script installations on same computer with V. 3.07.1191 worked.

Right-Click on MM Shortcut; Select "Properties": Select "Compatability" Tab; In "Privilege Level", select (check mark) "Run this program as administrator"; "Apply". Close "Properties" Window.

Without starting MM, double click ".MMIP". It works!

Thanks to Peke.

I'm glad I helped. I hate when I see that constantly updated/developed apps like MM gets non-trusted level with each update and when AV apps put that version in trusted there is almost 99% of chance that app is already updated with new version which again render app as untrusted :(

It's nice to see that someone reads my posts ;)
