1247 rate songs from miniplayer now playing playlist #5620

Maybe someone can tell me if this is expected behavior or if it is a bug. I have a large library that I am giving ratings to as I go. When I hear a song, I rate it in the now playing window in the maximized MM. I rate it by left clicking the rating column and then clicking again on the appropriate star.
The problem is that when I switch to miniplayer and then turn the now playing playlist on/off, I can no longer change the rating from within the now playing window the way that I can when MM is maximized.

I realize there are other ways to rate the songs, such as right clicking the song and changing it from the context menu, or changing it from the tray icon, etc. But I'm just curious if this is a bug or if it is expected behavior.

This is happening again in build 1256. It just happened to me once but I can't seem to reproduce it every time.
Has anyone else noticed this behavior in the latest build?

It seems like this was supposed to be fixed again in bug #5698.
