I thought this did/ought to make this search stick in the Search Results, but
1 In Search bar type fred, press ENTER (Search Results says Any text field contains "fred")
2 Press END, BACKSPACE
Expected: Search Results contains two entries Any text field contains "fred" and Any text field contains "fre"
Observed: Only one - Any text field contains "fre"
Or if this is not the function of ENTER, what is?

I think hitting enter makes the search term stick in the quicksearch drop down menu.

So it does! Thanks. And I guess there's no direct way of storing something is Search Results. Shame. I like Search Results much more than the drop-down history.

"if the user presses ENTER, the search should be saved and subsequent editing of the search term should appear as a different search result entry."
Thanks!
