1271 Crashes When iPod Touch Connected [#6035]

Post by bgriffis »

Windows 7 Ultimate RC x64
Core 2 Duo, 2.4 GHz
2 GB RAM
iPod Touch 64 GB (latest generation)

If my iPod Touch is connected via USB to my computer than MediaMonkey crashes. For example, if I have it unconnected initially I can open MM with no problem. The moment I connect it then MM crashes. I saw someone else report this same issue the other day in another thread so it must be pretty easy to reproduce.

Please create a debug log and e-mail it to me. This happened in the past after iTunes 9 update, but shouldn't occur now (and doesn't occur to us).

Same here: iPod Touch 3G 64GB, iTunes 9.0.1, XP SP3
The last build that was able to at least connect to the device (not in autosync mode and mess the art up, but this is another story) was 1267.

Well, I repeat: We can't do anything about issues that we can't reproduce and don't have a debug log, so please e-mail me one.

Thanks,
Jiri

Anyone who already sent me a log regarding this issue, please do so again using an updated http://www.mediamonkey.com/beta/d_iPhone.dll
There are some new debug messages, so it will hopefully better reveal what's going on there...

Thanks,
Jiri

Hi,

Can you please confirm whether this issue still exists in build 1273. Thanks!

Nope, it still crashes in exactly the same way. I'll PM you a link to the debug view output.

This is probably bug #6035. It will be fixed in the next beta build. If you want, Jiri has uploaded an updated version of http://www.mediamonkey.com/beta/d_iPhone.dll so please download it and copy to your Plugins folder.

If you have a chance, please let us know if it fixes the problem. Thanks!
