1342: Plug Player no pause control? [#7169]

Post by Warwick »

Using MM as a media server and media renderer works well but on my Ipod Touch there is no pause control displayed. A MM issue or Plug Player?

It is PlugPlayer issue, but there is Play/Pause button in that app: http://www.plugplayer.com/

I should have given you more detail. Apologies.

If I use the MM as a server and Ipod Touch as a renderer for music or video then the play/pause button toggles as one would expect. If I use MM as a server and Popcorn Hour as a renderer then the play/pause button toggles as one would expect. However if I use MM as a server and as a renderer then I only get the play icon and the pause icon does not appear after I press play. It stays with the play icon and if you press that gain it just restarts the selected media at the beginning.

Because it is toggling between pause and play when the Touch or PCH is the renderer then this suggests that its the MM implementation of the renderer that is at fault doesn't it?

And as I noted in the DLNA thread: No album art, title, anything, displayed on the desktop - instead I get a 6 digit number (but everything is displayed in Plugplayer on my iPod Touch).

MM server/renderer not working with three other UPnP Apple apps: Songbook and Eyecon (nothing detected) and Media:Connect (detected but often breaking down - and pause not working either)
