1346: Multiple selection of files [bug#7308]

Post by robojock »

Hi,

If you click on a song/movie in the main window, mm selects other files with it in that list, almost like when you hold in shift with left mouse click.

Please provide more details (screenshot) of how to reproduce? What view are you using, what node are you in?

Lowlander, i do alot of random clicking in the main window, for example click on the first song then click on the last song in the list, or even in the middle.

At first when i noticed i could reproduce it the whole time, then i closed mm and tried again, it is reproducable but a little bit more difficult. Just click randomly, like first song in the list then say the 4th and back to the 2nd and the 6th song and so on.

Are you sure you're not holding the mouse key while moving the mouse. This will select multiple files. Otherwise I've been clicking around a lot and don't see this happening.

Ok i finally figured it!! out and how to trigger it 8) for a moment i thought i was going nuts!! :D

I think its related to the tooltip cut off bug i reported... it does it with the song titles who are cut off ;-) so short titles wont trigger it it has to go past the cut off "line" 8)

Man that was difficult to reproduce :P

Yes, I see the problem now, make the columns very narrow so that the tooltip appears when you hover over the tracks, then click on them quickly. It selects multiple tracks based on a single click.
