Video playback experience [#7187]

I compared video playback of MM4 with several other players, such as Windows MediaPlayer 12, VLCplayer, PowerDVD and DVBViewer. I must confess MM4s playback quality is far behind the others. Especially the image quality of videos played with MM4 is very poor and pixeled. This looks ugly. I can remember this effect with one of the earlier versions of VLCplayer. DVBViewer is the only player, which lets me choose the renderer (and codecs) to use for the videos. Especially the renderers used by Windows have much impact on video quality. The only renderer with a good quality in Windows 7 is the EVR Enhanced Video Renderer as it is the only one, which smoothes low resolution videos, when scaled to fullscreen on a full hd display.

Maybe the developers can have a look at this aspact to improve image quality of videos.
