Re: 1348: Editing Properties in Now Playing changes seletion
I'm in the Music Collection, using the Art with Details view and have the Art & Details window on the Selected tab. Then I select a track in the Tracklisting. Now select a track in the Now Playing window, right click Properties, click OK. Notice that the Album Art changes to the Album Art of the track previously selected in the Tracklisting.

Re: 1348: Editing Properties in Now Playing changes seletion
On my setup I don't need all these steps to reproduce.
Simply right clicking on a track triggers his illustration appearing in the "Art and details" pane (selected)
I don't like this behavior in mediamonkey re. the right clicking.
If I right click on something I'm not intending to focus it.
This is similar to this issue: http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=5041

That's a different issue as it's the right click focuses issue. The issue I describe is not related to right clicking, it happens on OKing the Properties window.

Sorry Lowlander. I forgot that step where you actually intentionally left click on the track to select it.Lowlander wrote:I'm in the Music Collection, using the Art with Details view and have the Art & Details window on the Selected tab. I understand now and I can reproduce.
Sorry for the confusion.
Btw: Should I open a new thread for the bug I mentioned: right clicking changes the focus of the Art & Details panel?

No worries.
I would say that your issue is a wishlist item. It has been discussed for tree nodes where I do agree it shouldn't happen (long node loading for no reason). But I think it's logical that right click on a file changes selection.

Very strange things are happening. Now it doesn't change the Selected art anymore, but Filters the Tracklisting when doing the steps twice in a row.

I'm being stupid and not following my own instructions. I was in the Details view. In this view doing the sequence twice results in a filtered list. This happens with or without the Track Browser.
