1350: Inconsistent Podcast order

When viewing a particular podcast ( http://www.soundonsound.com/podcast/sos_podcast.xml )in the "Series" window, the default order is as follows:



but when I view the same thing via the "Subscriptions" windows the default order is:



As my internet radio cannot order these, and just starts playing from the one at the top by default, this makes it a little confusing.

What would be ideal (for me at least - not sure how this would effect other devices) would to use the reverse order to that in the "Subscriptions" window as that way podcasts would start with the oldest and play subsequently newer ones.

Is the UPnP server you're showing in the screenshots the MediaMonkey UPnP server? Did you perhaps sort in this views which explains the discrepancy? It seems the first screenshot might be sorted on Date Added and the second on Title.

I personally prefer new to old at this point in time.

No - this is the default order in which my Internet Radio sees them as well. I just used the order within a Mediamonkey client rather than taking a polaroid of my internet radio screen as it's the same.

The UPnP server in the screenshots is not the one serving the content. If there's any way of ordering this via the UPnP server, then I'd be pleased if youy could enlighten me as to how to do this.

In MM4 you can save Sort Order For Tree nodes so basically when you browse folders you need to set sort order you Like. Default Sort Orders are Different for different Nodes and thus difference you observe.

I'm obviously missing something as both "Series" and "Subscriptions" are under the "Podcast" collection and even when I sort these on the MM4 server, it makes no difference to the order that they appear on a UPnP client. Is there a "Sort Order for Tree Nodes" menu option that I'm not finding?
