Portable version [#7885]

Post by aprzybylo »

I have the problem with portable version. Installed that on external hardrive on win 7 system. Then I tried that on xp. It won't play any song. It is impossible to close (I have to kill the process). Not sure if that's related to os but that's the most obvious difference between two pc.

I tried portable version on 2 different XP systems, it doesn't work on neither one. Everything looks fine but I can't play any song. Seek bar shows 0:00/0:00 all the time. Also I can't close MM it just minimizes it to tray, have to kill the process to get rid of it. I don't have the same problem on Win 7 system, there it works ok.

Probably you need to change your output plugin setting, I guess it's trying to use the output device from the other PC.

Thanks.

It's not specific to the portable version. It looks like a regression in the direcsound plugin. Tracked at:

Please try to change out_MMDS.dll to this version, does it solve your problem?
