File monitor <!> MM4 1353

Post by tinana »

Sorry, i don't know which is the appropriate place to ask this question, but in when I select file monitor in MM4, the "scan continuously" icon is covered with an exclamation point. When I hover over this icon there's no explanation as to what the problem might be but I do know that the file monitor function in MM4 doesn't work for me. I'm using MM Gold version 4.0.0.1353

That's the icon. You need to highlight a folder in the left tree and then click the checkbox to enable it. Now it should show in the list on the right.

Ah, that's what i mean, once I highlight a folder to be monitored and it shows up on the right, it appears with an exclamation point in front of it. Also, files moved into the monitored folder don't show up in the library unless i do a manual re-scan, and if i close an reopen MM and reopen the file monitor, it shows no folders listed as being monitored :(

Re. the exclamation point, lowlander was trying to say that you can ignore it. It just signifies that the file monitor is enabled.

Is the file monitor not working for you in recent builds?
