1363: Actor, Producer, Director miss dropdown [#7789]

Post by Lowlander »

When editing Actor Producer and Director in place in the Filelisting the auto-complete drop-down is missing.

Tested on skinned 1363 on XP. Can anyone reproduce?

I guess thats the same you are speaking about:
The drop-down list is there but it always shows the alphabetically first entry and does not start from the value currently in the field (what used to be the case before).
So one has to navigate down through the list to get to the appropriate entries.

So you do see the drop down with values in the Tracklistings?

In the Properties window I do see that it shows the first entry highlighted and not the current value, but this is the case for all fields with Auto-Complete.

With "Tracklistings" you mean the "Show details" view, right?
Yes, dropdown with all values is there.
But as described in above post in all non-empty fields (already with values in them) the alphabetically first entries are shown.
Behaviour used to be different before:
When choosing a field with value "Barock" for example the drop-down used to start at the entry "Barock", showing all subsequent (genre) values, like:
Barock (current value)(highlighted)
Barock, Kantaten
Barock, Messen
Barock, Opern
etc.

It was a little different, I think:
It always started at the current value, and auto-complete used to work from that position.

I think i can clear up the confusion now:

1. I can't reproduce your problem:
The dropdown is there in tracklistings.

2. The other behaviour, -in tracklistings as well as properties-, I described above seems to be another issue:
When choosing a field with a value [...]the drop-down-list used to start/be positioned at the current value [...], showing all subsequent [...] values
.
... is true only for the unskinned versions of MM3 and MM4!
Try the unskinned version of MM4 and you will see what i mean.
Made a separate report on that one:
