1369: Unresponsive min/max/close buttons multimonitor [#5442

Running Win7 x64.

I have two monitors

Code: Select all

 ----------------- -----------------
|S M | | |
|T E | | |
|A N | | MAIN |
|R U | | MONITOR |
|T | | |
 ----------------- -----------------
After a fresh install, starting MM will make it appear on the main (right) monitor.
If I move the window across to the left monitor, then the minimize, maximize and close buttons in the top right are no longer responsive.
You can still drag the window arround by the title bar (previous builds it only had a resize arrow), and with win7 this means that double clicking or dragging to the top of the screen will maximize using Aero snap, but you can't minimize or close.
Interestingly the mouseover and click images still appear when unmaximized, but not when maxmized.

If this isn't clear I might put together a short vid of this occurring - it's quite annoying at times, it is consistently reproducible any time MM is on the left monitor.

(edit because i replied to the wrong post at first)

Confirmed still an issue with 1368.
Running non skinned this is still an issue.

Your little utility works fine - changing settings works fine with it too.

Recording a video at the moment, will post link when done.

Still being processed so no HD at the moment, but it gives you an idea.

After some testing, I've found that this issue ONLY occurs when the right hand monitor is set to main display on the Win7 screen resolution menu.
If I set the main display to the left monitor, the buttons work on both.

Where the start menu is located has no effect.

Working:

Not working:

Yeah, you are right if you set right monitor as main and start My app you will see that Desktop res will go into Minus (eg -1920x0 for top left corner) that is the issue on how Windows handle multi monitor. If you set left as primary than top left would be 0x0 and MM would work. It looks like small annoying issue with MM skinning engine.

EDIT: it is tracked as http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=5442

This is NOT fixed in 1369, so I'm not sure why the bug is marked as resolved.

Psyker7,
Is there any changes/improvements in MM behavior Can you make small video and send me PM if yo want to keep it private (eg like with http://www.screencast.com/ )?

It is always marked as resolved when assigned developer finishes working on the bug and wants that others verify/confirm/evaluate it based on what is stated in Resolution. Also When Bug is verified and closed than we move on next bug and new one is opened in case of bug fix rise regression.
