Strange, any attempt to use Matroska splitter from codec pack is missing in the log. Do you have file MatroskaSplitter.ax in MediaMonkey\Plugins\DXFilters folder or in C:\Users\Michael\AppData\Roaming\MediaMonkey\Plugins\DXFilters\?

MatroskaSplitter.ax and MatroskaMuxer.ax are in C:\Program Files (x86)\MediaMonkey\Plugins\DXFilters

I can play all four files in VLC and WMP (so the file could be okay)
I can play two other MKV files in MediaMonkey (so it's not MKV itself)
So of four files I can play two in MM
I just installed Haali splitter and restarted MM. There was no change in the above report.

I provide below the information on the four MKVs I have in my library, maybe providing a comparison. I do see that the two files that don't work are 6 channel audio, and were made with the same writing library.

Thanks. Are you sure, the first two files are not corrupted? Otherwise, VLC should play them and MM should play them with AC3Filter or other AC3/DTS decoder installed.

I do not know the details of the format to know if there are any errors in it.
That said, I am 100% sure that VLC and Windows Media Player on the same computer are successfully able to play the noted file.
The PS3 couldn't play it (which suggests something different about the file I'm sure), but if two different movies made with the same program (as previously noted) play with WMP and VLC but not MM, MM likely lacks the support for it and should have it.

I correct my error (which when I read it didn't read correctly and I mangled it in an attempt to correct). Apologies for the error in my prior response. It should read (as it does now)

1) have system without 3rd party AC3/DTS decoder (no AC3Filter or FFDShow with AC3/DTS decoding enabled)
2) MM codec pack installed

4) MM shows missing codec dialog and redirects to codec pack page, instead of AC3Filter page

I cannot reproduce step 4.

I can try uninstalling AC3Filter and producing further information, however I have already provided the debuglog so I'm not sure where to get more info out of it.

Could it be an x64 thing?
