[1401] Album Playback - Occasionally skipping tracks

Post by Falcon »

I got an annoying problem with v4 Build 1401 (Also appeared on earlier Builds), where occasionally tracks get skipped and greyed out. This is especially annoying as I normally listen Albums entirely. When I click backward or skip button, the song is skipped again, but when I manually double click the song, it plays just fine.

This is similar to what was described in this thread: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... =6&t=44714
Jome wrote:* Some times, the track is greyed out, and it skips to the next track, or it skips 2 tracks.

As usual test on the latest build (1406) and send a debug log to support: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... ?f=6&t=341

Still persisting with Build .1406 :(

Just installed new version, started up, started playing, trying to skip and THERE it was... I first thought that it was a problem with the drivers of my keyboard (the media keys being interpreted twice or more), but the icons in MediaMonkey behave the same way. Quite annoying.

/*Edit:

OK, after fiddling with the skip forth/back buttons a few time, MediaMonkey starts to give me errors:

Code: Select all

Thread creation error: Not enough space for this command
(Translated from German, original message see below)

There is something interesting in the DRAGON2.log, especially line
5641 344.85018921 [6188] Locking files: Q:\Lossless\Green Day\American Idiot\10 - Letterbomb.flac - failed because of timeout
but because the log isn't completed, we cannot see what process locked the file.

Please re-generate the log, but run the DbgView app first and then MM so that the whole log is catched up.

Thx.

Actually, the second log ends exactly where MediaMonkey crashed to Desktop (Without any error dialog). Dunno if this is due to debug viewer running or not, as this was the first time doing it.

I'll try to make another Debug log.

/*Edit:
Updated support ticket with another log. MediaMonkey crashing with error message (see screenshot above) reproducable. Though, if the debug viewer is not running, I just keep getting this error message, MediaMonkey does not crash then.

/*Edit2:
Fourth log added to support ticket.

Some changes have been made in builds 1418/19 (bug #8178) that should resolve this issue. Please confirm--new build to be posted later today.

Thanks.

I tried .1419 and so far I played through some albums without any problems. I will do further tests just to be sure. I hope it is fixed now :)
