MM4: No .mov support? [#6493]

Post by Dreadlau »

I noticed MM4 won't play my .mov videos.

If they are already in the library and I attempt to play them.
I get the "Mediamonkey is unable to decode that format" message.

Is this to be expected? Is .mov support planned?

Thank you.

Did you install the MM codec pack? MOV files work here, although there has been some issues in the beta testing with MOV files.

According to the Extensions manager I have the codec pack 2.0.0.14. installed as "Current User".

I should check if all the mov files I have get this problem.
Maybe there is something corrupt in my installation.

For full MOV support, user should install QuickTime or QuickTime Lite. But the file you sent should be played even without it, will look at it.
Edit: it is really not playable by MM now, but it should redirect you to QuickTime download site, will be fixed soon. With QT installed, it will be playable by MM too. - issue 6493
