1421 Podcast Download location resets on every upgrade[#8315

This is really frustrating. I've been taking part of the testing for a while and realized every time I update/upgrade my podcast directory gets switched back to drive C which is a really low capacity SSD disk in my case. Ugh. At least moving the files to the correct folder isn't a pain due to MM's great right click menu options

In portable mode it is intended behaviour, but if you haven't installed MM in portable mode then it shouldn't happen.

Why would this happen in portable mode? isn't the objective of portable mode not to leave any residual on the host system?

I also miss the point as to why the user setting should be changed on upgrade. Upgrades should respect user settings regardless if it's a normal or portable install.

This is NOT a portable mode installation.

I cannot reproduce the issue and also doesn't see a reason why the value should change when upgrading. Could you describe more exact steps, what exactly you are doing? And also ensure that you are testing the newest build (1422)

In Portable mode the download location is in the Portable folder (on the portable drive) and cannot be changed. This is intended.
