[1426-1432] Albums not listing under Artist node [#8361]

Hello,

I am using MM4 build 1426. I have properly tagged artist and albums but they are not listing under the Artist Media tree.
Example: I have 4 albums under a artist, but only 1 album is appearing. But all songs are listed under the parent artist node.
It is just not for one artist, I have several artist having this problem. I did not have this issue with MM 3.2.4. Thanks.

I have updated to latest build 1428 and the issue is still there.

I am 100% sure that my "Album Artist" value is same as the Artist value.

Have you tried build 1428? It appears to be working correctly for me in this build. I would suggest re-checking your Album Artist values. Tracks only show in an album sub-node if the artist is set as the Album Artist, otherwise they only show in the artists main node.

I am using build 1428. I did not have this issue in MM 3.2.4. I have check all Album Artist values, there are the same as Artist.

I strongly believe there is a major issue/bug in the build. Thanks.

Just checked in the Artist node on 1428 and it works as expected. It is showing the Albums under the Artist where Artist = Album Artist.

What Collection are you viewing and have you tried to do a complete Maintain Library?

It does show but strangely it does not for all albums under the artist. As I said, it just not for one particular artist, I have several artist having this problem. I would say about 20-30 artist having this problem.

What Collection are you viewing and have you tried to do a complete Maintain Library?

I have tried using Maintain Library, Complete optimize database and still does not help. I only enable Music Node in my Media Tree and under Music Node, I have only enable Artist Node.

I have about 12000 songs in my library. I am running Win 7 Ultimate.

Hello,

I have just installed build 1432. I cleared my database and re-scanned my drive.

Some of my albums that did not appear, now appeared under artist node. But I still have lots of albums that are not appearing under artist node. I believe the issue/bug is not completely resolved.

I still have hundreds of albums that are not listing under Artist node.

I can assure that I did not have this problem in MM 3.2.4

Keep in mind that when an issue is tagged as 'resolved' it can be Resolved:fixed or 'Resolved:Unable to Reproduce'. When it's the latter, it means that the developer needs more information in order to be able to resolve the bug. A bug in that state will trigger testers to either a) confirm that the bug isn't really a bug b) get more information and re-open the bug.

In this case, more information was provided to the developer.

This issue is still not corrected. I'm using MM 4.0.2.1462 on Windows 7.

The same issue as described where albums are shown everywhere but the tree under that artist. Artist and Album Artist are populated. Here's a nice twist though - if you edit or add ANY other tag and press OK, it indexes correctly and that track appears under the correct album for that artist in the tree. Note that the maintain database link and a full rescan does nothing, it has to be a manual edit of the track to "force" the album to appear.
