[1431] new install premature file monitor scan end

Post by Everton »

If I start 1431 after a clean install and edit/delete the artwork of an album while the startup file monitor scan is running, the file monitor scan stops.

As usual only a debug log can really show what's happening: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... ?f=6&t=341

Hi Everton,

Yeah--debug log and/or more detailed explanation would be great. I tried to replicate this and am not able to (the scan proceeds, even as I edit image tags of tracks being scanned).

Thanks.

ok, I think I've correctly created a log file - I think the problem starts around 00048982.

http://www.windows7news.com/wp-content/ ... OFFICE.LOG

My steps:
- launched MM - filemonitor is set to run at startup
- clicked on music node while filemonitor running and selected an album, en vogue/funky divas with poor quality artwork
- clicked on the art & details viewer, and selected Edit Artwork properties
- deleted artwork for the album
- said yes to the are you sure prompts
- after clicking yes, the file monitor process ("monitoring xxxx of xxxx") stopped running

more info. If I run MM as an admin this problem doesn't occur.

Hi Everton,

Thanks. I suspect that this is the same as http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=8384 . We'll have a look at the log, but I expect that if you delete the artwork via Properties > Artwork, that the problem won't occur.

yes, it is the same. I'm still getting problems deleting/adding artwork from art& details view in 1433 - getting AVs

There are more Artwork-related fixes coming in build 1434. Please let us know if the problem is resolved then.

Thanks.
