When I auto-organize video files, MM doesn't pick up all field content.
For example: it does pick <type>, but it doesn't pick <genre>.
Instead of putting the genre in the path, it puts the word genre there.

I just tried it, and it works fine here. Can you give more detail to repro the issue?

Re: Auto organize video does not pick all fields
Not sure which details you mean...
I have a number of .avi files, genre is SF and series is Star Trek, and I try to auto organize them in the folder v:\Video\<Genre>\<Series>\<Title>.
MM puts the files in v:\Video\Genre\Star Trek
So the series is correct, but the genre isn't.
The genre is really SF, because if I look at the subodes under genre, the files are indeed there.
I'm running MM 1432, on Windows XP.

Re: Auto organize video does not pick all fields
So exact steps for reproduction are:
1. Select some video files
2. Tools > Auto-organize
3. Paste v:\Video\<Genre>\<Series>\<Title> (or any path with <Genre> )
4. Ok
5. Files are moved to v:\Video\Genre\Star Trek
?
Because I've just tried on my HD and can't reproduce. The genre fields for me are empty and the files are moved to an "Unknown" genre folder.

Re: Auto organize video does not pick all fields
Just checked and used Auto-Organize on a video and the Genre was added as expected to the filename.

Flying Lowlander,
I did some more tests. My initial wording is incorrect. The problem is not specifically with <Genre>, and it's not limited to video.
As soon as I include <Type> in the mask, the behavior of auto-organize becomes strange.
Could you try that?

Re: Auto organize does not pick all fields
I can confirm that the field after <Type> doesn't work. It similar when using <Parental Rating> in Auto-Tag from Filename: http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=8112
