Hello.
From a long time, i see that some of my videos are not synchronized after a full rescan of my library. Today I have understand that MM fill for some videos some fields when I scan, and after the synchronized tag check function indicate that this field is not synchronized with the video.
For example if I scan the following video, MM fill the ArtistAlbumName field with 'Porcupine Tree'. If I check the not synchronized tag between the database and the videos, MM indicate that the ArtistAlbumName field is not synchronized with the video. If I clear the field, MM indicate that everything is ok. But if I scan again the video, MM fill again the ArtistAlbumName field.
Sometimes I have the same problem with the Season field and the Episode field.

Do you have Infer Track Properties enabled. It seems to be expected that if Infer Track Properties enabled that MediaMonkey auto-guesses/fills fields. It would also be expected that they show in the Unsynchronized Tags node as the DB and file don't match.

Hello.
The Infer Track Properties was enabled. I uncheck the infer option but I have the same problem with the posted video and the albumartist field.
Even MM fill some fields with the filename, why fill a field that is not editable with the video property windows?

Re: [1442] Mediamonkey fill some empty video field
It seems that its due to:
Director = Artist
Series = Album
Those were known and when Artist and Album have value Album Artist = Artist
Album Artist is editable in the Filelisting.
I do follow you're logic though that this maybe shouldn't happen for video files (at least non-music video files) as concepts of Album and thus Album Artist aren't used and furthermore that Track Properties doesn't even provide access to Album Artist (the other fields have access through their video field equivalents).

It's an old bug: http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=1327 , but it's more severe given the poor quality of video file inferences.
I've raised the priority--hopefully we can fix it before 4.0 is released.

Hello Lowlander
Yes ArtistAlbum is editable in the file listing, but when I have to edit 30 videos, only a script make it easy. And the AlbumArtist is not writed on the video tag.
Rusty, thanks in advance. I think that is not necessary to infer fields that can't keep in the file tag.
In the same genre, it's not possible to have an option that verify the tags after write and display the advanced error message if some files are not correctly updated?
