This did not work in V3 but I'm testing V4 now and the same thing is happening.
I am running a Subsonic server at home.
It is running over HTTPS (http://subsonic.org/pages/getting-started.jsp).
When I select an album an M3U playlist is generated and downloaded to my local machine.
If I select MMv4 to play the M3U nothing happens, it loads up the playlist and attempts to play, waits a few seconds and goes to the next song in the playlist but there is no audio.
If I select WMP to play the M3U I get prompted to accept a non trusted certificate that Subsonic generated itself to encrpyt the audio. When I accept the certificate the playlist is played without issue.

Re: [1445] Cannot play stream from Subsonic server over HTTP
What happens if you first browse to the url in IE and permanently accept the self-signed certificate?

Hi, I tested this.
I opened the page in IE8, it asked if I wanted to continue to the page and I said yes. I clicked on the Certificate Error next to the URL and clicked view certificate which then allowed me to install the certificate. I selected Auto when asked where to install it. After the install I closed IE8 and MM and reopened to the https URL. I was again shown the screen whether I wanted to continue to the page. I did and tried playing again with the same original result.

Hi, could you please try this relelease http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... 05#p326132 (4.0.3.1463)
In fact HTTPS reading didn't work at all in 4.0 and 4.0.3 should fix it.
