Hello folks,
I am using 4.1456 and for whatever reason, every time I view my entire library then goto to a playlist and back, the column headings that I selected dissapear? I will right click some where in the empty column area and add "timestamp" and "extension" for example but as soon as I switch from playlist to the library, the columns I just chose are gone? Anyway to keep them saved and use the same columns for all items on the far left tree or whatever its called?
Help:)
Thanks,
Brandon

Re: Columns constantly changing?
Which collection are you looking at? Remember the column settings are saved for each individual collection. Playlist columns are drawn from whatever collection you've chosen to view the playlist as (right click the playlist > Edit > "View as" (or "Search" box if autoplaylist).)

Re: Columns constantly changing?
I think I may have figured half of the issue out. I was able to arrange the columns under "entire Library" and now the column headings remain the same after I arranged them to my liking. Now, my "playlists" are not under the "entire library", so the column headings are not the same. How do I incorporate the playlists into the entire library?nohitter151 wrote:Which collection are you looking at? Remember the column settings are saved for each individual collection. update:
I believe I resolved the issue by editing each playlist to view as the "entire library". Now all seems to work fine.
Thanks!

Not sure it belongs here but I've the same (or similar) problem as mentioned above with released versions 4.0.5.1496 and 4.06.1501
When updating version 4.0.3.1476 (Gold user on Vista 64bit) to 4.0.5.1496 I noticed that my playlists weren't using the columns I usually use. In browser column I use Artist / Album / Title. This I use in collections "Entire Library" as well as in "Music".
I looked in the forum and found http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... =6&t=61730 so I made sure that every playlist had every View As or Search Box were using Music.
This seem to help as the playlist would have those three columns in the column browser.
However, on the next start of Mediamonkey the columns in column browser weren't right again. There were only 2 columns and not three. All the playlists still had Music in the View As/Search Box. Manually adding the third column to the column browser helped but didn't make all the playlists automatically have 3 columns too
Inbetween closing of Mediamonkey was done by clicking right top square as well as by File, Exit to make sure I closed the programme in the right way.
It looks like Mediamonkey only remembers the right setting for the time the programme is active. When you close it down and start it up again it forgets one column.
Thinking and hoping it would be solved in 4.0.6.1501 I've installed but experienced the same problem. The programme doesn't seem to remember I want to use 3 columns in column browser for Music and Entire Library.
I've done a clean install too, only kept the ini file and database because I don't want to lose my playlists and such. This hasn't helped either.
Are there more having this problem? Any help in solving this problem is appreciated
If extra info is needed just let me know.
