[1486] iPad 2 won't appear in MM [#9318]
W7 64, iPad 2 IOS 5.1
MM won't recognize my iPad 2 (not jail-broken). I reinstalled QT 7: no success. Notice that when I plug in my ipad on USB, MM will start automatically (as on signal that the ipad has been attached).

Re: [1486] iPad 2 won't appear in MM
Does this still occur after you (re)install the latest version of Quicktime?
If yes, can you please send a debug log?
There have been a few reports of this, but we haven't replicated it and need a log to fix it. Thanks.

Re: [1486] iPad 2 won't appear in MM
Hi,
Thanks for all the effort of trying to get it working. Much appreciated!
But....I'm experiencing the same problem. My iPhone 4S (running iOS 5.1 (9B179), non jailbroken) appears in MM when connected, but the disappears after about 30 seconds. I've uninstalled QT and then reinstalled QT (downloaded the lastest version to be sure). Didn't help. MM runs on Win7 64bit.

Then a debug log as requested above would also be helpful.AlwinM wrote:I'm experiencing the same problem.

This should be resolved in 1487 (iPad2 or iPhone 4s disappearing / not appearing). Can you confirm that it works for you?

Hi,
Sorry to report, but even after installing 1487 the iPhone 4S disappears again.
I'll try to create a debug report.
Thanks for all your effort! Keep up the good work.

Hi,
Just tried to create a debug log. No succes:-( Even with the debug 1487 version. Sorry.
Also in the debug version the iPhone 4s appears and then disappears after 30 secs or so.

Re: [1486] iPad 2 won't appear in MM [#9318]
[1487 also]. I used the debug-version, completely removed the earlier versions of MM, installed build 1487, synchronised one track, started MM but still my ipad 2 won't appear. I tried to generate a log with WMLog: only two remarks; Result: 0 Revision: 524288.
Couple of points of interest [1487]: MM still starts after I attach my iPAD 2. MM is not consistent how it reacts on MediaMonkey COM Elevator. Although I did a full uninstall (even cleaned the registry manually of all related items) I still get the question if I want to run MM COM elevator. Sometimes I have to click 12 times in sequence on no, sometimes only 4 times and sometimes it does not appear at all. Is there a way to uninstall this option completely?
Good luck!

Re. iOS devices not appearing or disappearing, any remaining instances of that should hopefully be resolved in 1488. Please confirm one way or the other.
Hans.T, Re. MM Elevation issues, we're not able to replicate this at all, so if it's consistent for you, please send us a debug log:

Re: [1486] iPad 2 won't appear in MM [#9318]
Hi, also from my end: problem solved! Thanks for all the work.
I must say that I needed to change a setting also in order for my computer to recognize my ipad. I have never worked with more than 1 and the same ipad at my computer (and no one else) but when i checked at options->portable/audio devices I saw that ipad was listed 3 three times (and the top one was not checked). When I activated also the top one, it worked fine. Can I delete the other ones?
Keep on the good work!

Hans,
Yes--you can delete the device profiles that aren't being used.
