Issues with the scrobbler and MM 4.1 [#10125]

Post by nohitter151 »

Anyone having problems with MM 4.1.0.1609 and the MM scrobbler add-on? (1.0.2.29)

Every time I install the add-on then restart MM, I get a Player initialization error.

Windows 8 64-bit.

I've not installed it again, but it is working without any errors for me on MMW 4.1.

I don't think it is a new issue. For me, lastfm was only scrobbling new tracks - these tracks would have had a zero playcount and no rating but also no entry in lastfm. I can scrobble non-new tracks from other apps so I think the issue is Media Monkey but I think it was introduced in 4.0 something - maybe just the last one before 4.1.

I've got no errors in the log file either

My problem is not with scrobbling itself. I can't even install the addon without MM crashing on restart.

still a problem on mm4.1 1615

removing gen_LastFMScrobbler.dll from plugins folder and MM will run normally.

putting gen_LastFMScrobbler.dll in the plugins folder will cause mm to run about 10-20 seconds, never showing the main window, only the tray icon will show up, then the mm.exe will terminate (disappears from task manager) with no error message.

this is on a brand new installation of windows 7, with only mm4 portable, and all windows updates. no itunes or quicktime or any other apps installed.

Upon updating to build 1622 and attempting to reinstall the scrobbler the issue seems to have resolved itself :D
