1629 - Advanced selection misses items [#9543]

Post by KZ0 »

After having selected items, control-click to item N, and control-shift-click to select multiple items next to item 2. Final selection does not include item N. This happens when selecting items from the "details"-view. When album art is showing, it's not an issue.

Example. Items:
1
2
3
4
5
6
7
8

Click 2. 2 is selected.
Shift-click 4. 2, 3, 4 is selected.
Ctrl-click 6. 2, 3, 4, 6 is selected.
Ctrl-shift-click 8. 2, 3, 4, 7, 8 is selected. 6 drops out of selection!

Sublist indexing is tricky :P

Edit: looks like this doesn't apply to all selections. I'll try to reproduce it, and post back.
Edit2: this is the case when selecting from the "Details" view. Not the case when there are any artworks showing. And thanks a whole lot for the wireless synchronization -- it works wonders!

Control + shift not functioning properly

Post by kknostman »

When using control+shift to select multiple sets of objects in lists the topmost object is deselected. For example:

1. Select object 1 in the list.
2. Hit control and shift and select object 10. Object 1 will become deselected and objects 2-9 will be highlighted. Object 1 should have stayed highlighted.

You assume that I didn't search. You would be wrong.

Let me also point out that I'm a paying customer. It's not my responsibility to report anything and certainly not my responsibility to "make sure" that a bug I'm reporting isn't already reported. It sometimes amazes me how people come to think that customers are treated like employees when they take the time to report a bug.

Be happy we take the time to help by reporting issues. We have no responsibility to do so at all.
