Re: [1638] ogg (audio) does not work?
The "in_vorbis.dll" that comes with version 1638 seems to be the culprit at least here:
1.1.: It does not appear under "Input-Plugins".
1.2.: Ogg files don't work
2.1.: Using (copy) the "in_vorbis.dll" from version 1511: It does appear under "Input-Plugins" as "OggVorbis Input Plugin 1.1."
2.2.: Ogg files play fine with version 1638
Any ideas how to solve this?

Re: [1638] ogg (audio) does not work?
It shows for me under "Input plugins" in the options. Also, as I said, I can play ogg files without issue in 1638.Friedrich wrote:The "in_vorbis.dll" that comes with version 1638 seems to be the culprit at least here:

To take it a step further I even installed a fresh portable version of 1638 to a new folder. The plugin still shows in the options and ogg files play fine.
Are you certain that you didn't delete the file or something?

Re: [1638] ogg (audio) does not work?
Thanks for the feedback nohitter151 and Lowlander!
You both use Windows XP?
Maybe its a local problem, but on the other hand it seems clearly related to the specific in_vorbis.dll that comes with the MM testing version.
As described above replacing the in_vorbis.dll with the older version from 1511 solves the problem immediately.
A portable installation of 1638 shows the same problem.
BTW: All other mediaplayer (WMP, Foobar2000, Mediaplayer Classic) play ogg without problem.
Any ideas how to make MM recognize the in_vorbis.dll?

I am testing on Windows 8 but I fail to see why the version of OS would make a difference.
