MMW endless wifi sync [#10954]

I have been playing with sync this evening and somehow I managed to get the wifi sync stuck. I was told by MMA that the sync failed to connect. I then launched DebugView and MMW was spitting out the same command over and over:

[4772] WiFi sync: Loading Sync-List...

After a few minutes, the list was up over 600 instances. Unfortunately, I did not have DebugView loaded when I started the process, so I don't know what started this problem. When I tried to close MMW and restart, it failed to close normally and I had to kill it from Task Manager. I have not recreated this, but if it happened once, who knows how common it is.

After changing settings and trying another sync, the transfer worked. However, after downloading all tracks, it appears that the playlist did not transfer/update correctly. I also found that the message mentioned before was still being repeated. I'll create a ticket and upload the log.

Thanks for reporting, alhhough we were unable to reproduce the problem, I was able to fix it based on the log, will be fixed in build 1642 as http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=10954

Yup, that fixed the problem.

Now if I could just download a full track I would be pretty set on wifi sync! Is anyone looking at that or would it help if I uploaded more/different logs?

Are you saying that your tracks are not downloaded during WiFi sync?
i.e. MMA shows that it cannot download them? Maybe another log could show why.

BTW. I have observed similar issue last week, MMA couldn't download my songs, because it suddenly lost privilegies to write to the 'Music' folder of my phone (Intenal storge).
I then found that I cannot write to the folder also by using any file explorer on Android. Once I deleted the folder all was working again.
Not sure what happened with the 'Music' folder. Maybe it could be the same issue?

No, I don't think that's likely the issue. It appears that MMW is correctly transcoding the track and MMA is in the process of correctly downloading it. I have posted a number of logs for this issue to the help desk and have another thread where I have posted all the information I could gather from my own testing.

I'm willing to help provide any more logs that would be helpful. I just need to know what to try when I generate those logs.
