1256 Search terminates My Computer track fetch [#5856]

1 Select My Computer C: All containing many tracks and see track fetch begins (track list fills)
2 Select search bar "Current Selection" and enter in search X

Expected: fetch continues
Expected: fetch stops!

Maybe some more details like if your searching in the current selection or entire library would help.

Wouldn't you expect that the fetch stops? If you start a new action like a search the old action (fetching C:) would be terminated.

Sorry, missed that.

I checked and you're right. The problem with the fetching stopping is that the search won't work either (unless searched for tracks have been fetched).

I assume the best course of action is that fetching continues, but only shows tracks matching the search query.

Else I''d rather it was the fetch that contunued and the search that suffered e.g. was delayed.
