1256 multi-char Search Current selection skips matches

Post by chrisjj »

1 In Now Playing have only four tracks, all containing in tags the word Corazon
2 Click Now Playing node and select first track
3 In Search bar, select Current Selection and type C

Expected: first track selected
Observed: second track selected

4 Type o

Expected: first track selected
Observed: third track selected

5 Type r

Expected: first track selected (since it is the first to match the current search string Cor)
Observed: fourth track selected

If I'm Not wrong from my point it behaves correctly as designed eg. Start Search from next track in list.

I understand your point and added as http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=5893

Aha.

Sounds like a clear description of a design defect! :) I doubt there's another major desktop app doing that.
