1256 Track paste can go to wrong position [#6203]

Post by chrisjj »

1 In tree, select Playlist and in tracklist, select track 1
2 Click CTRL+C, CTRL+V

Expected: track inserted before selection.
Observed: track inserted at end.

Also observed when using right click copy/paste.

I'm not sure I'd consider it a bug though.

You don't think paste should go at the selected position?

Well, I'm not sure, I didn't find it weird that it was added last, although I understand your point as well especially as playlists are all about position.

How would you use the keyboard to move a track if not by cut and paste to selected position?

I use drag & drop for moving, I never copy a file in MediaMonkey. The only place I do this is in Windows Explorer and on XP it copies to the end. This is why it didn't seem like a bug to me, but you're right that it should copy to the selected location and not the end.
