Motorola phones with iTunes
There were already several users asking for support of Motorola phones that have iTunes installed. We finally managed to implement/test the first version, you can download a plug-in from http://www.mediamonkey.com/beta/d_iPod.dll
Don't forget that it's the very first/untested version and so it might contain some bugs.
Let us know how it works for you and your phone...
Jiri
P.S.: All features should be supported as in case of iPod, i.e. synchronization of track, album art, ratings, playcounts (both even back to PC), etc.

album artwork not working
Jiri,
First of all, nice job. The songs transferred over fine onto my motorola itunes phone. I could navigate by artist, album, etc... And the songs all played well!
The only thing that did not seem to work was the album art. On the screen of my phone, instead of the album artwork, it showed a black box.
Any ideas?

Try to do what's described here: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... 9767#59767 and e-mail me the result.

Version 2.5.4.978 w/ the new d_iPod.dll work beautifully w/ the Motorola SLVR!
I wanted to use my micro-SD adapter to send files to my micro SD memory card via my card reader since the USB cable transfer was sooo slow.
With Media Monkey I:
1. I send the files via Media Monkey to my memory card.
2. put the memory card back in the SLVR
3. plugin the usb cable to the SLVR
4. right click on my SLVR in Media Monkey
5. update the database file (so itunes on the phone understands what's up)
Voila!
It works!!!
I went to see if the russian software Moto Tunes had fixed their program but unforuntely they had a problem with the songs being sorted alphabetically and not by song #.
If you don't have a micro-SD adapter get one and enjoy the fast mp3 file transfers.
You guys rock!!!!

ok so somehow when I plugin my usb to my SLVR it doesn't detect it as a drive. you'll notice this because the autoplay scan of the drive doesn't appear.
Finally I got things back in order once
1. I did a direct synch to the card using windows media player.
2. with both MediaMonkey and Windows Media Player open -- I plugged in and unplugged my usb cable to the phone twice.
3. on the 2nd go round - the computer autoscanned the phone (appeared in both in MM and WMP) and could do a "rebuild database" with no problem in MediaMonkey.
It took me forevre to get it to work but happy now. kinda... IT TOOK FOREVER! I also deleted Apple's Itunes since it wouldn't stop opening when I plugged in my usb cable into the phone. i figured it was Fn up the db as well probably...
good luck!

ok looks like you also MUST do a right click on the phone and "safely remove device" before it works again and autoplay scans the phone.
