Trailing The

I have had my 'The' trailing, ie.: Beatles, The. Got fed up with the problems this causes, ie.: Lyrics searches, MonkeyRok not showing that I have related artists in library, etc..

I have only kept them that way so that my windows files would not be bunched up in the "T's'. Figured that 99% of the time I access my music files is with the Monkey & he can ignore the 'The', that I would go ahead and run Trix's "Fix The Trailing ,The" script.

All went well. Right after I clicked the OK button to change the tags, I realized that my Ipod will probably not ignore the 'The'....

But, I am not sure about this. Before I synch, can anyone tell me if this is true? That my pod will put all the artist with "The' alphabetically in the 'T's'.

If that is the case I am thinking about dropping the 'The' altogether.

Well personally I don't use an iPod, I have a Sony NWZ-A818 (fantastic because they've ditched Atrac and opened it up so I can use MediaMonkey!). Even though this does not ignore "The"s (which annoys me a little) I still keep them in front and get MM to ignore them, mainly for compatibility with Last.Fm.

Update:
For anyone that is interested. I went ahead with synching my Ipod and, yes, the 'The' is ignored by my Ipod!
Never thought I would say this, but, kudos to apple!
