Last.fm Plug-in & Auto-DJ testing (MM 3.0.x)
Moderator: Gurus
Another issue to report: when the plugin starts sending the cache, it looks like there is no timeout or retry.
This is my background. I have a very dodgy internet connection with lots of lost packages (damn wireless). So if the plugin tries to send the cache, it might take more than one or two songs, if it ever finishes. Songs are not being introduced in the cache nor being sent to last.fm.
I deleted the cache and the plugin began to work again as expected.

I am new to last.fm but it seems interesting combined with MMm, so I signed up. After installing the plug in I added my username and password to MM and waited for the magic to happen. But it looks like MM does'nt like MM is scrobbeling. On my dashboard, to the left, it says last track scrobbled:"No recent track to display". So somehow things do not get registered or something. Do I need to download the Last.fm scrobbler as well?
Music is great!
MM with:
AutoAccRate 2.4.2, Blue Monkey 2.1, Backup 5.1, AutoAlbumDJ 3.5, Last100.. node, ClearNowPlayingButton 1.2, Monkey Rok, Last FM DJ and Scrobbler that scrobbles!

If you've installed the last.fm-plugin from this thread you don't need to do anything else. Have you wrote your password and last.fm name correctly to the last.fm options dialog on mediamonkey? And don't skip the tracks while hearing. They don't get send by that.svenni wrote:On my dashboard, to the left, it says last track scrobbled:"No recent track to display". You need the two plugins of the first post in this thread. That should work. Maybe last.fm was down for a while. Look in the logs of the last.fm plugin(s) to be sure about that.Anonymous wrote:If you've installed the last.fm-plugin from this thread you don't need to do anything else. I only needed to update my Dashboard. I thought it was a selfupdating panel. Sorry folks.

Guess I have to wait a bit till I have played some music before it gets really fun, right?

Yes. In the past it was about 100 songs you have to submit until it was able to give you some useable statistics. But you will love it, believe me! I tag as much as i can and so i made up some good fitting radios for me.svenni wrote:![]()

i'v been testing this for some hours now and its working great. only one thing that looks strange and might be a bug.
on my last.fm profile, the recently played songs are appearing a bit different from when i play them with my winamp plugin.
best if i show you a ss so heres the link:

as you can see, theres a counter counting 60 minutes, and after it runs out, the time starts from 1 minute and goes up, as it should have from the start.
p.s
oh i see this has already been reported. well im now getting the juat played and currently playing bug as well, so i think im gonna have to stick with winamp and wait to the next update... im using 3.0.2 btw
p.s2
i dont think the 60 mins bug has anything to do with timezones cause it doesnt happen when using winamp.

This has been happening off and on at last.fm since before MM had a plugin.angrymofo wrote:http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/8739/apeoy0.jpg

Still, it's not limited to MM and has been around awhile.

the scrobbling is a bit on and off for me as well after having used it for some days. Don't know what it is. Like today, LastFM says my last scrobbled song is for 9 hours ago, but I have been using the monkey all day (of course).
Maybe its the LastFM page that's having problems...??

anyone know what the cause could be? it'll work for awhile then randomly stop working... then it'll work again
