Is there a BPM calculator Script?

Sorry if similar thread exists but due to the limitations of the search option it was difficult to find.

Is there a script for MM that calculates and automatically adds BPM information to the tags?

If so, how fast is it and does it eat up much system resources, i.e. would it take several hours or days to analyse 20,000 plus files?

A good standard reference would be how it compares to the Genre Finder script, which runs fast and smoothly in the background.

There are no scripts which calculate the BPM, but I think a number of people use MixMeister. It took quite a long time to do mine, but this is to be expected with this type of calculation.

I've used MixMeister in the past and in my experience, its not worth it. A great number of the BPMs calculated are wrong.

Software BPM is one of the hardest things to accomplish. One of the best softwares that I have found to calculate BPM is MixVibes, but it still need to be set for each genre. The best BPM is hardware one with only one LED Diode per channel where DJ can match BPM in its head and compare to the LED I have also tried some pioneer DJ CD Players and they suffer same as other software counters.

I'm using mixmeister on the moment and it works great, but the thing is it takes a really long time to do my entire collection i started yesterday at 2pm and it's on K on the moment hehe i have 31k songs to scan

But you can make some nice playlists with it so it's worth it

That's quicker than I could do it by any other means

I've also used Mixmesiter, not perfect, but is works very well on the majority of songs. And MM imports the values very easily for mp3 entries. However, I have many tracks as WMA format. Mixmesiter is also able to calculate BPM on WMA files and export the values into a txt file. Unfortunately, I have not figured out a way to import the WMA BPM values into MM. I've looked for scripts that might do it, but no luck so far. Does anyone know if there are any scripts (even if I need to modify it) that would import the BPM values into MM?

Usually it can be a double or so, but you cannot say and exact BMP what it appear to a human individual unless you say what pattern you are searching for. Defining genre might help partially. I usually gets the highest possible BMP number for me. You should try BMP tapping...

I didnt find good method of calculatin BMP although I ve tried most of available soft . MixMeister is surely easy to operate and robust but Its calculations I find totally wrong. I ve tested it for many days, calculating hundreds song and check them out carefully but results are like a lottery. Ive tested it for pop so the most popular samples You can get and test.
I someone could propose good method I would be glad to hear.

Mixmeister's BPM analyzer does well for mid-tempo songs with strong beats, but tends to get thrown off with drum & bass or trip-hop (it will halve the BPM of the former and double the BPM of the latter, I have found).
