2.x worked great for this, but 3.0.1 and 3.0.2 both have the same problem: they don't monitor folders properly. I moved some music out of my "New Music" folder (using Explorer) located on C:\Users\Public\Music and when Media Monkey starts up and does its scan, it still shows entries for the music that's no longer there. It did this in 3.0.1, so I updated to 3.0.2 today and it has the same problem. I should note that it finds new music properly, but it does not remove music entries for MP3s and folders that are no longer there.
I've verified under TOOLS > OPTIONS that FILE MONITOR is set to YES and YES.
I even forced a re-scan of my whole Music folder, which made it then complain about missing music. That was solved when I pointed it back to the root Music folder - yet the phantom music still remained after that process.
MM 2.x worked flawlessly regarding folder monitoring - why is 3.x having so much trouble monitoring my music? I ended up having to clean out my entire database and add it all back in from scratch, which took a while with 13,000+ songs.
Is this a known issue, and better yet, is there a forthcoming fix? I love this program and bought a gold license - but this is the ugliest problem I've seen with it in a while.

Ah, no, I did not - I didn't understand how/why that feature would be useful because monitoring means looking for what's changed - it never occurred to me that anyone would want to leave entries for songs behind that were moved. I checked it, and the tracks that were moved are no longer showing up. Thanks!Peke wrote:Do you have Remove unavailable tracks enabled?
What's strange though is that the album I added this morning wasn't showing up after a scan until I checked off the "Remove Unavailable Tracks", which makes no sense - it was a new folder, with new songs, so it should have been picked up on the first scan. I still think there's something fishy going on there...
