Ok, great. :)

The speed shouldn't be significantly slower than older versions IMHO. But I'll test it as soon as it's stable and try to improve speed.

Hi Big Berny,

Danke!

Gruss und Daumen drück :-)

AutoRateAccurate 2.2 RC 6 - Installer
AutoRateAccurate 2.2 RC 6 - ZIP (for manual setup)

Changes since RC 4:
-Changed: This time I added all the fixes from RC5! :)
-Fixed: Improved stability by fixing different possible bugs.

@duden: Bittebitte, alles kein Problem! :) Irgendwie habe ich sogar mehr Zeit für die Community desto mehr ich eigentlich lernen müsste... ;) Und danke fürs Daumendrücken! :)

Have a nice weekend!

Hi Big_Berny

The script is not working here, I use windows vista, MM 3.0.2.1134, and tried autorate 2.2 rc4, 5 and 6.

The script calibrates ok, but when it starts autorating, MM hangs. It hangs always at the same point in the autorating progress bar.

Could you give me some light on this one?

TIA

Hmm... There seems to be a problematic song somewhere... Could you maybe try to reset FirstPlayedDate and PlayedTime (and if not needed the skipcounter)? There is a new sheet in the options where you can do that very easily.

If this doesn't solve the problem please post again, then I'll make a little debug version for you.

It didnt work. I tried to reset FirstPlayedDate, PlayedTime and Skipcounter, but this operation halted MM too. Maybe is a problematic song as you said. Is there a way to find out which one?

@Mascis: Ok, so try to delete the customfield where the information is stored of all songs. I think this should solve the problem. It may take a while but it should solve the problem. If not try another formula like the oneof BerniPi.

I cleaned up the database, then i instaled the script, and got this:

Error #13 - Microsoft VBScript runtime error
Type mismatch: 'CDate'
File: "C:\Program Files\MediaMonkey\Scripts\Auto\AutoRateAccStarter.vbs",Line: 154, Column: 1

I also have trouble at the moment. No idea why... Probably it's really this bug I mentioned... Maybe it's the best to wait for that bugfix first...

I too was receiving the error.. on the latest update

Error #13 - Microsoft VBScript runtime error
Type mismatch: 'CDate'
,Line 1112, col 24

I was running 2.1 i believe. It would have been the version when i first posted in this thread. I can not remember the date. It was less then 3 months ago.

I have been running Vista SP1 since RTM release around 02/04/2008 so that was not the problem. I have all current updates so that is not the problems. I updated to 2.2 RC6, then i started to receive the above error. I was looking fore more info on the CDate function and DateDIFF function. I came across one on passing/storing strings in CDate. It talked about the Short Date in Regional Options so i figured i would mess around with it anyways. I change my Short Date from "M/D/YYYY" to "MM/DD/YYY" and it resolved my issue with the new script it ran all the way through the AutoRating

From what i can see changing the short date really should not be the answer but i will take it. Something else has changed with your CDate function possible the line below (i did not count out 1112 lines). Maybe you can try forceing the date to meet the format "MM/DD/YYYY" in your script.

Dim MaxDaysInLibrary : MaxDaysInLibrary = DateDiff("d",CDate(ini.StringValue("AutoRateAcc","OldestDateAdded")),Now)

Hope it helps in finding an answer.

Yeah, the problem only occurs with 2.2 as it has some new features. Altough I believe that it should work normally and that the SP1 (or SP3 with XP) is the problem. But I'll have a look, maybe I can fix the problem by myself.

Ok, I created a test-version which solved my problems here but which is a bit complicated to configure: AutoRateAcc 2.2 RC 6 Testversion

1. Extract the Zip-file into the "Scripts/Auto"-folder of MediaMonkey. It doesn't matter if the script was installed previously or not.
2. Open this site and look for the "LCID Dec" (third row) which you use on your system.
3. Open the AutoRateAccStarter.vbs from the "Scripts/Auto"-folder of MediaMonkey and edit the 6th line:

Code: Select all

Public Const Locale = "2055"
Just replace the 2055 with your "LCID Dec" number you got before. And save.
4. Start MM, check if it works now and report it here.

Thanks!

OK, I have done as requested and this happend: At restart of the monkey I got this message after the message about "this is the first time you use ARA":
Error 13
Mismatch CDbl
Line 283, col 1

After clicking ok I tried to enable ARA and clicked ok and got this one:
Error 424
Object required: edt
line 844 col 1

After clicing ok the rating actually runs and works as far as I know. Playing songs works without errors. After a new restart, everything seems to work fine. Thx.

Edit: Got a new error after fixing the rating %:
error 2147418113
error executing sql statement "begin exclusive":sql logic error or missing DB (1,1)
line 1525 col 4

all in ARAstarter.vbs
Music is great!
