Last.fm dj cannot find related artists
When I use Last Fm.dj, with 95% of the songs I play, I get this message:
"Last.fm DJ located the artist Last.fm but no related artists were found in your library or your settings are too restrictive. Adding a track from the backup playlist"
Sometimes the DJ cannot find the artist at all.
I used the standard settings i think: 50 % and 60 min.
I cannot believe last.fm cannot find nothing in my media monkey library with 6700 songs.
Do I need an account and library at Last.fm or something like that?
Or could my firewall settings or something be to restrictive?

It is possible as last.fm DJ take count on only accessible songs I have 120k library but 70k accessible.

oh sorry, I meant that i have 6700 accessible tracks.Peke wrote:It is possible as last.fm DJ take count on only accessible songs I have 120k library but 70k accessible.
it happens with a lot of songs although i have enough from the same genre and allthough they are pretty mainstream.
here are just a few examples of the songs for which Last.fm dj cannot find related artists:
madonna,
aretha franklin,
Brian Adams,
simon and garfunkel,
tracey chapman,
alicia keys,
Tina turner,
macy gray,
cher,
It would be great if you could fix this!
greetings, Monique

I only use Media Monkey and I have the DST problem.Peke wrote:I'm also have DST In my TimeZone and I scrobble correctly using MediaMonkey native plugin. It looks that problem is how Last.fm interpret Sent time as MediaMonkey calculates DST correctly. The problem is that when you use some other application that also scrobbles to last.fm and do not calculate DST correctly you have conflict.
e.g. i send with MediaMonkey and then with WMP using their application i get spam error, then I revert process and firstly scrobbled with WMP and then With MediaMonkey all is Ok.
In MM Time is calculated like this: GetCurrentUnixTime-((Timezone+DSTCoeficient)*60) = (number of Seconds passed from 01.01.1970)-((1+1)*60).
I appreciate the cause of this might not be MM but would it be possible to have a user adjustable setting to adjust DST within MM so that it works correctly with last.fm??
Just an update, I uninstalled the last.fm extension and installed the Winamp audioscrobbler (http://static.last.fm/plugins/audioscro ... 1.1.10.exe) with the general option (not media library) and the DST error no longer exists, so the error must be with the native plugin.Danners wrote:I'm still getting the same error with 1177 where my music is being scrobbled an hour out of sync with the native mm last.fm plugin. It is not an issue with my system setup as other plugins on other players scrobble correctly.

I really need an MM3 scrobbler, so I'll try again tomorrow after restarting the computer.
I haven't read all the other pages, but the problem still exists. not only that the first track is always dislayd as "now listening", but also the scrobbler icon shows the second track.I do get the Now Listening on my last.fm profile for the first track I play after I fire up MM. After that, nothing.

Re: Getting similar for every track played?
Hi i have a question
What would be the best way to have the script execute on every song it played?
Or moving on from that, execute each time it plays a song for over 50%
My idea is that i can select a few songs i like, as a sort of base, then let the script execute on each of them as it plays through it.
Currently the auto DJ will only activate when there are no more tracks in the playlist.
If this isnt clear, please ask questions and i'll try and be more precise.
Many thanks

Gideon, there is a fix for this posted on the "other pages".gideonrv wrote:spacefish wrote on Feb 19 (page 2 out of 21)I haven't read all the other pages.....snipI do get the Now Listening on my last.fm profile for the first track I play after I fire up MM. After that, nothing.
You need to delete the last.fm log and the last.fm Cache when MM is closed and then fire it up again.
Where these files are varies on XP and Vista.
You should be able to find that info in the thread.
I have XP and it's here:
"C:\Documents and Settings\<your user name>\Local Settings\Application Data\MediaMonkey"
