Can anyone help me find a respectable site for downloading mp3 music?

I've just spent months converting my CD's to MP3. Now I'm ready to buy some music .... but after researching the net I find so many download sites (many with very negative comments). I'm afraid of getting ripped off or worse ... corrupt my computer.

Any suggestions? I don't mind paying for my music ... but must be reasonable!
