Re: Embedded Minilyrics v1.4b [MM2+3]
Lol I have started a dialogue with support@crintsoft.com. These are just by products of the dialogue
I don't think I can use Mini Lyrics any more where they don't support non MP3 formats, especially since Lyricator has been around.
I would be fine if I just wanted .lrc files but atm I need 2 panels 1 for Mini Lyrics Lyrics and 1 for MM lyrics.
Unless I can work out how to make them talk to one another,
i.e. If MM has Lyrics for WMA, FLAC etc then display them, else download lyrics and save to MM
Plus download .lrc files as well and save in the Minilyrics folder
Plus a toggle to display MM or .lrc files
I hope you get the picture
By the sounds of it Mini Lyrics could be Embedded into a web page which could be embedded into a panel which then could be scripted to access MM and make the decisions about which Lyrics to display/save etc via a Plugin. Unfortunately I can't write plugins

Re: Embedded Minilyrics v1.4b [MM2+3]
yea.......i tried this but......i kind of do not have a MiniLyrics Embedder.exe i only have a MiniLyrics Embedder.vbsOn some Windows XP SP2 systems, this script gives problems: a lot of warning messages, that cause the program to block.
Thanks to Big D, this problem has now been solved.
The cause of the problem was Windows XP SP2 security settings, which blocked the correct execution of the exe program needed for this script.
Anyone having similar problems:
Just right-click the program "exe" file (normally "C:\Program Files\MediaMonkey\Scripts\Auto\MiniLyrics Embedder.exe") and choose "properties". In the opened dialog, click the button just above the "cancel" button (probably "unblock" or so). The button will become disabled and then you can click OK to close the dialog.
That's all!
Now (re)start MediaMonkey and the script should work as supposed.
um....is there another solution. Why do i not have the same file? I have not been going around deleting files lol. what else can i try
Re: Embedded Minilyrics v1.4b [MM2+3]
I have also this irritating error. I tried doing what you had done, but it did not work. I have tried reinstalling Mediamonkey and it still does not work.docbells wrote:I seemed to have fixed the issue with embedding minilyrics and the "MSVCR71.dll was not found" error. I did a search on my hard drive for the dll. I found a couple different versions of it. I copied one and pasted it into my windows\system32 folder and the installer worked great.
Hope this helps. I am glad to have minilyrics embedded - it is much better this way.
I have Vista Home Premium 64bit.
Re: Embedded Minilyrics v1.4b [MM2+3]
@Perien: You can download the file msvcr71.dll here: http://home.scarlet.be/ruben.castelein/MM/msvcr71.dll
It's a library required by programs programmed in Visual C++ 7.1 (.Net 2003 I think). Most people have this file because it was installed by some other program. You can put this file in the folder C:\Windows\System32 (or similar), or in the application's folder (where the MiniLyrics Embedder script is located).
@Klutz: Please look at the first post: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... &sk=t&sd=a
You don't need "MiniLyrics Embedder.exe", that's from an older version of the embedder. Now when you install MiniLyrics Embedder (using the installer), 2 files are installed: the scripts file (*.vbs) and the embedder program (*.dll).
Cheers

Re: Embedded Minilyrics v1.4b [MM2+3]
Just a quick warning. There may be other first time users of MiniLyrics who, like me, had the misfortune to download version 6.1.3730, which worked fine as a stand alone, but when embedded, put the lyrics mostly outside the "box". Fortunately, the friend who recommended MiniLyrics to me (I had recommended MediaMonkey to him) insisted it did work, and sent me a copy of version 6.1.3723. After uninstalling the emmbed and the programme, and installing 6.1.3723 and embedding it, all is well. Not sure if I would use it as a stand alone, but embedded it's excellent.
I wouldn't want people to be put off instantly if they were trying it for the first time.
P.S. Just checked, and the version you can download from the site has reverted to 6.1.3723. I hope no MediaMonkey user has given up in the meantime!

Does not use IE to query the web. As far as system resources - very minimal. Compared to the resources MM uses it's insignificant.debu wrote:how much system resources does this use, and does it use IE to query the web? thanks!

Re: Embedded Minilyrics v1.4b [MM2+3]
hi, I use embedded minilyrics and everything seems to work fine.
except the saving of downloaded lyrics. although the saving in mp3 files is enabled in the options, there's always only the extern lyrics-file been saved.
saving in mp3 seems not working. does anybody have a clue..?

You have to save the .lrc file, there's no option where you don't get the lrc. It's probably saving the .lrc and saving to tag.asomy wrote:hi, I use embedded minilyrics and everything seems to work fine.

Re: Embedded Minilyrics v1.4b [MM2+3]
is there no way to make minilyrics save the lyrics in id3 tags automaticaly?
in the settings you have the option to save the lyrics in the mp3-file. what happens if it's enabled?
there are no lyrics saved in my mp3-files.. and when I try to save them manualy, it doesn't work, 'cause the file is in use..
only the saving in text-files is working.

No, i have the lyrics being saved to the mp3 working just fine. What makes you think it isn't saving the lyrics to the tag?asomy wrote:is there no way to make minilyrics save the lyrics in id3 tags automaticaly?

Re: Embedded Minilyrics v1.4b [MM2+3]
when I look at the id3 tags of a mp3-file, there is no entry in the songtext-field. it's just blank.
I always have to copy&paste it manually..
the lyrics should be saved in that tag, shouldn't it?
my english is not the best - I hope it's understandable

Re: Embedded Minilyrics v1.4b [MM2+3]
Where are you checking it, and which tags are you saving? MM can only read the id3v2 unsynchronized lyrics saved to tag. (not id3v2 synchronized or lyrics 3v2). Also, you need to either rescan the files or have file monitor on for those files that you're tagging with minilyrics for the tags to show in MM.
