1209: Classification Tab unaccesible

Post by xtaticace »

When viewing track properties under 'Classification Tab', not only it takes a while to respond but it shows a screen full of error comments.
Even after closing the giant error box, classification tab shows empty fields.

Anyone else experiencing this?

seems to work for me on a few tracks I checked.

the playlists are also listed on that tab, so it might be related to them, there are some issues with playlists and duplicate tracks.

if you can reproduce the errors, your best bet is to follow the instructions @ http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... ?f=6&t=341

When I switch to the Classification tab, I don't receive any error boxes or lack of data. However, I do experience the hang, but it's only a second or two. I use Occasion, Quality, Custom 1, Custom 4 and Custom 5. Which properties do you use, xtaticace? Maybe it's the call of one of these fields I don't use that is making things go crazy.

Ok, these are the errors I get:

And then after closing that error I get this message:

Maybe its because of conflicting script or something.

I use the default layout with all the custom fields, genres, moods, occasion, etc and also the playlist pane where the track belongs.

How do display selective fields only anyway?

I didn't mean hiding them or anything, I mean those are the only fields I enter data into. Thus was thinking that maybe there's an issue in calling the data from a field you enter data into that I don't. However your errors look to be centered around playlists as it lists playlists here, there, and everywhere in that error. *Blinks* This bug is out of my league, I'm not sure what half that stuff means in the screenshot and don't know the first place to start in trying to reproduce it.

I want to do a fresh install and see where it goes wrong but I am going to wait till I get my new hard drive and start with a new install of 64-bit Vista and see whether 64-bit Vista and MM play nice or not.

Until then I will live with it or see if someone can figure out the problem.
Thanks anyway Mizery_Made.

xtaticace, could you please e-mail me your database, i.e. MM.DB file? Please pack it and upload to some free service, like Rapidshare or similar.

Thanks,
Jiri
