Have you tried to synchronize these tracks using iTunes and were they playable then? Maybe they are somehow damaged so that iPod cannot play them...

The MP3 Files are playable with Winamp directly from the ipod itself.
The files are really o.k. So I think there is something going wrong with the database...

Nonetheless - Mediamoneky is doing a really good job!!

yooga,

Have you checked BOTH iPod plugin settings ?
* Foce iTunes-style folders
* Trim path and/or filename length to 31

It sounds like the synchronizing goes perfect (you can play the files with another program), but that the iPod can't 'read' them.
A common problem is that iPod photos (or should I say "color") cannot read files which do not reside in the iTunes-style folders, and who have a path/filename of more than 31 characters.

I think mediamonkey comits the error of counting 31 char WITHOUT COUNTING the extension (mp3)

so you have the problem if you put trim to 31 char (wrongly meaning 34)

it still won't work

then to some it's been advised to use the stupid rubbish ITUNES FOLDERS STYLE

it's not necessary if you shorten manually the folders length
SO
I ask you to pls shorten the trim 31 so I dont need to shorten the name of the album folders and rebuild database to make ipod able to play them!

iPod compatibilty

The 'trim path to 31' option causes every portion of the path and the filename to be limited to 31 characters.
