iPhone 3.0

Post by adrianmarsh »

Did anyone get a chance to test MM 3.1 betas with a iphone 3.0 software release (beta) ?

I'm upgrading to MM3.1 and iPhone 3.0 now so I'll report back any issues I see

hmm... well.. I just upgraded. When I tried to attach to the iphone, MM told me that it was a compatible version and that it would be read only.
However, on a an Autosync attempt it seems to be copying files...

However after letting it copy "a few", they're not really there.

So I guess - MM3.1 - not compatible with iphone 3.0 just yet

I just upgraded my ipod touch to 3.0 - and it turns out the MM 3.1 won't sync music with it - the 3.0 apple firmware is unsupported. Which sucks. The 3.0 preview has been around for months. Why haven't the devs got this working? And yes, I'm a paying customer.

If it is like the update to version 2.0 firmware it could take months to reverse engineer. Remember Apple don't want you to use anything but iTunes so don't publish the mechanisms for synchronisation.

I am a little surprised not to see a Forum Sticky on the official stance of MM with version 3.0 firmware

I can't go back to iTunes, life is too short - there must be a solution to using 3.0 firmware with MM3.1

Do you think this will be the main thread for this fix? Or should we discuss on (and follow) another thread?

just upgraded ipod touch to firmware 3.0 ... same problem .. MM 3.1 is in read only mode and cannot copy music to the ipod. I am sure MM developers will come out with a solution soon

Hey =)

My iPhone could not sync either.

I love the Mediamonkey "random playlist", and that is why I'm using MM for iPhone sync =)

Here's a novel idea... you could wait to upgrade until MM officially supports 3.0 :roll:

And pass on landscape typing, and non-supported tethering?
Pass on new marketing schemes?
