The OP issue is a failure because Show Track Browser is ON, and the Track Browser is not showing.

And when shuffle is ON and there's no tracks in the player, it's not shuffling. When the Album Art pane is ON, but there's no Album Art in the files, linked to the files, or in the folder, it's not showing any Album Art.

No problem there. Even if it isn't shuffling zero files

No problem there. Just like when Track Browser pane is ON but there's no tracks, it's not showing any tracks to browse.

That's reporting a different issue. Fine, but that issue number should not have been put in the OP subject and I have removed it.

The OP issue is a failure because Show Track Browser is ON, and the Track Browser is not showing.

As discussed the bug is that the Show Track Browser is enabled in the View menu while in the Now Playing node. The fact that the Track Browser isn't shown is a design choice, which you can disagree with, but that doesn't make it a bug.

Sorry, that doesn't wash:

1) This is equally true of playlists, yet Show Album Art is allowed for them.
2) Now Playing display mode does not need to indicate a play order to be useful. e.g. Show Album Art is useful for showing a list of all albums in the list.

A simple search revealed this:

Now Playing, My Computer, Net Radio, Web: for these nodes, I would suggest that the Album Browser should just temporarily disappear (and automatically re-appear when a relevant node is selected.

I'm pretty sure that the Album Browser refers to the Track Browser.

If you read correctly it's a quot from Rusty, which shows that the Track Browser is unavailable in the Now Playing node by design. This is not my opinion, it's a quot. You asked for this proof and I provided it for you. Just get over it and post a wish in the wishlist forum that you'd like the Track Browser in the Now Playing node, I don't have an objection against that.

Not according to Mantis, which reports instead that the command has been disabled i.e. WONTFIX.

The bug was that the command was available when it shouldn't, this is now fixed as the command is no longer enabled in the Now Playing node.
