I can no longer see my iPod Classic as a disk drive under Portable/Audio Devices on my PC. I can see the iPod as an iPod via d_iPod.dll but not as a disk drive via d_WMDM.dll. How do I get it to display as a disk drive again?
Some background: I just upgraded to MM 3.2.0.1294 on both my PC and laptop. My PC is an HP xw8400 workstation running Win XP SP3; my laptop is an IBM Thinkpad T42 running WinXP SP3. Both machines have iTunes 9.0 installed. On my laptop, I can see my iPod as both as iPod (using d_iPod.dll) and a disk drive (using d_WMDM.dll) but my PC only sees my iPod as an iPod (using d_iPod.dll). On a related note, I cannot eject my iPod from MM on my PC (http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... =1&t=44936); I have to exit MM and use XP's Safely Remove Hardware in the system tray. I have no problem ejecting my iPod on my laptop. Could the two be related?
Is there a way to get MM to recognize my iPod as a disk drive again?
Thanks,
amallen

Just use the d_USBmass.dll plugin to detect your iPod.
Go to Tools > Options > Portable / audio devices. Select the d_USBmass.dll plugin and hit "Configure". Under the "Device configuration tab" choose the drive letter of the iPod, leave label and device id fields blank. then hit OK.

Re: MM can't see iPod as disk drive
That worked. I can see my iPod as a disk drive again.
Now, if I could only get MM to eject my iPod properly instead of giving me an error (http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... =1&t=44936). Any ideas?
Thanks,
