Brussels Charleroi & Amsterdam
Knowing that MM has many fans all over the world I thought I would ask here to see if I could get some information. I am planning a trip to Amsterdam this August and will be landing at Brussels Charleroi airport. I am seeking to take a train to Amsterdam from here. Can anyone tell me if there is a connection at the airport for the train or do I have to take a cab or bus to the station? I found the train website for Belgium confusing and was hoping for some clarification. Also, I would be interested in hearing about accommodations (open to houseboat accommodations as well) and restaurants in Amsterdam. I will be visiting with my friends and their 2 children. Thanks.

I'm not sure, NS the Dutch Railway company has this information: http://www.nshispeed.nl/en/airport/brus ... t-by-train
Seems you'll need to take a bus from Charleroi to Brussels.

Re: Brussels Charleroi & Amsterdam
Thanks Lowlander for that link. I was having trouble finding anything that made any sense.
Re: Brussels Charleroi & Amsterdam
The issue is that Charleroi isn't actually part of Brussels, it's a whole other town and quite far from Brussels (European terms). We found that out the hard way last time, but we we're fortunate enough to have a ride.
