Hi,
I have version 3.0.3.1183. I replaced the lame_enc.dll in \Program Files\MediaMonkey 3\
I go to "tools - convert audio format", and choose the MP3 format. When I try to encode it says I've past the 30-day trial period. My understanding is that by replacing the lame_enc.dll that encoding should work. Has this changed with the newer versions?
I didn't see any place where I got to choose the mp3 encoder of my choice.
thanks

Re: does lame encoder still work in free version?
So I just installed MediaMonkey (freeware) and downloaded LAME. I copied the codec into my MediaMonkey file but when I try to convert the audio format, the program tells me that it cannot be done-possibly because of DRM. I thought that the codec was meant to bypass the DRM restrictions? Pls help...thanks
Re: does lame encoder still work in free version?
No, it doesn't bypass DRM restrictions. The lame encoder included in the free version can only convert to MP3 for 30 days. Replacing it with a different Lame encoder only takes that 30 day restriction away, it does nothing about DRM.
