Can't export playlists [#8004]

Post by ACraigL »

Everytime I try to export a playlist to the .m3u format, I get a zero byte file. Tried by 'sending' an internal playlist, selecting tracks in the main window, as well as the playlist window -- zero file size every time.

Works fine for me. Can you give exact repro steps?

Basically just that... create a playlist, or select an existing one. Right-click it, sent to > m3u playlist. I saved to the desktop... 0-byte file. Win7 64-bit. It's 100% reproducible on my system.

ACraigL,

It works for me as well. Here's what I did:
Select 10 tracks from the library and copy to the Now Playing window.
In the Now Playing window, select the 10 tracks, and right-click 'Send to' > 'M3U/XSPF Playlist' (OR File > Export to Playlist...)
--> Success

Are you doing anything different?
Are the files in question contained within the library?
Are they in a location that is accessible (i.e. can they be played)?
What is the path?

Thanks.

All of those scenarios fail for me. The only difference (maybe?) is that I use a network path as opposed to a drive mapping. The files are 100% available, playable, etc. I haven't rebooted in a few days... I'll let you know if that makes a difference, but I can't understand why it would.

No surprise, a reboot did not help. I can try a debug log if that will help. Can someone here review it if I post one?

I'm able to reproduce on XP with networked files, local files works fine. Added as: http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=8004
