Sync syncs unselected parent Playlist of selected Child List

I Have a problem when I try to sync over wifi or usb from mmw to mma. (debug and beta versions)

My library is very large, but I sync only about 2k/3k tracks with auto-playlists, and before this problem, mma sync works well.

After some updates (I don't remember which version, I tried to rollback with stable release and older versions with no success), If I sync only 1 playlist with about 50 tracks, it works well, if I add other playlists, with 100, 200 or 300 tracks in total, mma (wifi sync) or mmw (usb sync) hangs in "preparing to sync" for hours. If I cancel the sync, mmw give me an error with a list of tracks that are "inaccessible". The thing is very strange because that tracks listed in the error are not in the playlists that I selected for sync!!! It seems like that "preparing for sync" scans all file in library of mmw, and because my library is very large it take hours and hours... but why it should do that? there is an recently change in the sync that instead of scan only the file to sync scan also all other media files?

Are both MMA and MMW up to date to their latest beta/stable releases?

Some auto playlist are nested. I noted that when i check an autoplaylist that is not nested, with i.e. 100 songs, it works ok.
If i check an autoplaylist that is nested on two other autoplaylist, that are not checked, but that has 100000k songs, it seems that mmw/mma sync scan all files in that auto playlists that are not checked. it is possible?

I sync nested AutoPlaylist that either have more nested unselected AutoPlaylists or unselected AutoPlaylists nested somewhere else and it syncs fine. You should send a debug log.

I tested also with normal playlists.

IF I select only C from MMA, B and A will be synched even if they are not selected. Is this a bug?

Say on a PC I have a salsa playlist with 1000 tracks. And I also have a sub-playlist - my fav salsa - with 50 tracks - that inherits from the big salsa list. In the latest android version, no matter what I do, MM tries to download the entire 1000 playlist. Confirmed on two devices. Nothing seems to help...

don't know how it works, but I now have a suspicion the the updated mm server version is serving up the wrong files. I tried with an older apk, and the issue still remains.

tried usb sync. it also tries to feed all 1000 tracks even when not selected. my conclusion is that the issue is with the pc version. can probably move this post to a different forum...

downgraded to mmw 4.1.9 and the last mma stable on play store. Nothing changed, parent unselected playlist are still syncrinized.

Can you please capture LOG file of USB sync, compress it with MM.DB and open support ticket.

It should, as there is fair number of playlists sync fixes, on both MMW and MMA
