Bumping this again in hopes we are getting closer to a Mac version. I know so many who would buy the gold version, including myself!

Can't wait!

Interesting.
Can you elaborate on the solution?
VM vendor, issues, config, cons of the solution

thanks in advance

@Peke no pressure! Just the tiny insignificant matter of all our hopes and dreams hanging by a thread you’re holding

Honestly Peke/Petr, do you really have no idea of an estimated release time for the Mac version?

Unfortunately I do not had idea anymore. Internally we several times wanted to release, but each time we delayed due the various reasons, including that we are not satisfied with quality of all MMW features (we developed over 20+ years) ported to MAC version. That can be simply said "too many bad ports are made and we would not like that to be initial experience with MM for MAC."

I can understand that the team is concerned that some long-time MM users might not be satisfied with the new MacOS version, and that you want to avoid that.
Perhaps it would be worth considering releasing something like an MM-Lite version – with a different name, e.g., MediaRabbit or something equally cute...
I'm still willing to pay for such a version and also financially support its development with €300.

Thanks
I run MM portable in a VM on my M3 Mac. I've been running it on Intel Macs that way since 2.x days, although back then it wasn't "portable".

This allows me to keep MM and my library on a portable drive which I can connect to either my iMac or MBP. If the Mac version is "portable", I will likely switch to in on release.

Currently we're working and testing both x64 and arm64 versions and hopefully soon will be available first alpha/preview version.

EDIT: The main issue we had been dealing with for a while was the incompatibility of newer Chromium versions with Rosetta. That has now been resolved, as we have a native ARM64 and x64 versions of MediaMonkey for Mac.
